Message from our NSA-NT President: May 2022

Happy May NSA North Texas family. As we begin to close in on the summer, don’t forget about our Influence Convention Starting on July 9^th in Nashville, TN at the Gaylord Hotel. We’re optimistic about the speaking business building momentum as we are seeing more in person events than we have in quite some time. I know I’ve had to brush up my platform skills over the last couple of months. And it’s so good to be back in person, working with audiences and having real interaction and discussions!

My question to you today is what have you taken away this past year that you can work on for the summer to fine tune your skills? We’ve had many excellent programs this year and I’d like you to think about your top 2 or 3 priorities you can work on to bring your speaking business to the next level?

As Ed Tate talked about in April – what stories can you develop that will impact the heart and the head of your audiences that can have humor and be heavy hitting?

Heather Lutze taught us about maximizing SEO and our online presence. How can you improve you blogs and your website? How about your marketing strategy that Patrick Allmond shared with us?

This month we will have Nancy Giere with a focus on online courses and for June, Todd Cohen will help us with a focus on your selling.

We’ve had great value and insight with our speakers all year long with Shirley Davis on Diversity and Brian Walter on panels and excellent Labs to fine tune your business.

Most of all know that the norm is in person, get with a fellow NSA North Texas member for coffee or lunch and strategize on how we can all help each other out. That’s what our chapter is all about!
