It’s the last week of July and we’re staring at August and our first meeting on August 13^th (Hint- register now!).  I’m so excited to be the President of your Chapter for the coming year. 

You may not know that we had a LOT (and I mean a LOT!) of change last year. Some of it was planned and some of it was not.  The goal of the Chapter Board of Directors under Stu’s leadership was to make these changes seamless to you, the member.  I think we accomplished that goal if you didn’t notice anything different! Thank you to Stu Schlackman for his outstanding (and easy-going!) Leadership last year.  

For the coming year, my focus as your President is improving member value AND the communication of member benefits with a focus on our mission of Educating, Promoting and Connecting Speakers.

And with that in mind- We need you to weigh in!  We’ve received multiple requests throughout the last year to increase the time for the networking break and bring back the member highlight “talk” at the beginning of the program. In order to allow for this additional programming, we would extend the “end” time to 12:30pm CT.  So here is a link to a simple poll-  VOTE YES or NO-  one question- super quick (or you can even reply to this email)!

NEWS FLASH!
There is an exciting NEW change that was announced at NSA National Conference, INFLUENCE:

National Membership is no longer required for Chapter Membership, Chapter logo use or voting!  YAY!  This means we no longer have to have separate Membership levels- no more “ASSOCIATES”- everyone is a Member!

National is also testing a rewards program that rewards the chapter with a % of revenue from national membership and national events.  You might need to state you are a member of the Chapter at checkout- please watch for this!

• The NEW program, Local Legends kicks off on August 18th with Gary Rifkin, CSP and Cavett Recipient. In this new interview series facilitated by Niki McCuistion, CSP, she’ll delve into the history-makers (Past Presidents and Charbonneau award recipients) of our chapter, their lives and business.  PENDING DATE CHANGE 

Returning for another season, Yoram Solomon, PhD, brings back the Labs- with a renewed focus on a deep dive skill building session equipping YOU to grow your Speaking business! Don’t miss these sessions. 
 

• And coming back is the CPAE Spotlight Series, Niki McCuistion, CSP an insightful look at our most acclaimed Hall of Fame speakers, and continues her quest to interview them “all” with our first two spotlights scheduled (Lenora's interview is pending a date change) :
