Message from our NSA-NT President: February recognition of our Presidents

Welcome to our NSA North Texas Presidents month where we celebrate those that have served our chapter for the last 41 years. It’s been MY honor to serve you this year and celebrating our history as a chapter is a real blessing.

I’d like to talk about the power of connections, experience and versatility within our chapter and how we can all benefit from what our diverse members bring. A real example was from our Speaker Specialty Training Track at the end of December. Our past president Tim Marvel talked about building his Simply Smart Training App. I’m one that has experienced using it and am bringing some of my clients to experience a demo of how the app can help them. Tim has an app that several of our members can use for their client base. At the same time, I’ve just published a book and was undecided on which direction to take. I decided to go with Soar2Success with our very own president elect Elizabeth McCormick and was ecstatic on the entire experience. I also needed some advice on another book, and I immediately went to our very own CPAE Dianna Booher on publishing advice. She immediately gave me a recommendation and direction.

The point is that I’ve experienced many great connections since becoming a NSA North Texas member in 2008. We have so much expertise in our chapter that we can ALL share and benefit from. We are close to 100 members strong with folks that have been members for more than 30 years. Their wisdom and advice is invaluable. 

Growing your business is all about relationships, connections and friendships. That is what NSA North Texas is all about. We are a family of speakers, trainers, facilitators, emcees, podcasters, teachers, authors and coaches that have so much to offer.

Even though we’ve had our challenges the last couple of years, we will get through this together and come out ahead-  THIS IS who we are as a chapter. It’s hard to build a business by yourself. Having friends and experts around you that are willing to share and help will make all the difference in the world.

Let’s continue to support each other as we’ve always done in the spirit of NSA North Texas!
