NEW BEGINNINGS

As we come into our new year at NSA North Texas, what do you have planned to improve your business post pandemic -hopefully? I think it’s healthy for all of us to reflect on the past year, and learn from what we’ve experienced, and pivot to what we think is happening in our markets.

Speaking of NEW! You might have noticed from your renewal process that we are working in a payment and content delivery system. July is our transition month your Board is diligently working on- please be patient with us this month as we are making this change to best SERVE you in the future with the best technology for you- our best members. Everything we do in the coming year will be about YOU-  our members.

Here are three questions I think are good for us to ask ourselves in moving forward:

First - Are virtual presentations working for my business? If so, how can I improve? I had one sales training event this year that flopped virtually. I had no interactivity which is not good when it comes to sales training. My takeaway: What exercises will get everyone involved to solicit feedback. It seems people don’t like to talk virtually, and multi-tasking is convenient.

2^nd -  What new offering can I make to my clients that will add value? If you’ve had a successful event with a client, can you ask them “what else are you looking to do to improve your organization?” I believe the days of the single keynote is not enough to sustain our business unless you’re doing them on a regular basis. Can you add coaching, facilitating, a newsletter, a video series to complement you offering? How else can we support our clients?

3^rd question to ask ourselves – What’s working well, what’s not. Make a list of where you’ve seen success and the same for where you spent time that had no results. Focus on what works and get rid of what is not. Sometimes that’s tough to do, but now more than ever having the right focus is key.
